Next, a chemical paint remover is applied with the use of a paint brush.
This stripping chemical softens and destroys the bond of the old coating.
Once this strip material has had a chance to work, the old coating is scraped off by
hand and disposed of. This may take a while depending on what type of
material and process was used previously and how many coats are to be
removed. A bathtub that has been painted or reglazed before may require
2-4 hours to complete from start to finish.
